Creators of the Morphsuit vow to make you more famous by unveiling record-breaking ‘MorphCostumes’ range

From Tetris blocks to official Marvel superheroes, the UK’s burgeoning passion for fancy dress has turned the Morphsuit into a global phenomenon, selling millions worldwide every year and even being donned by Harry Styles. Now the British creators of the all-in-one spandex Morphsuit have unveiled ‘MorphCostumes’ and guarantee to get you more reactions, more laughs, more friends, more fun and ultimately more famous.

MorphFAMOUS than your average costume

To start the costume revolution, MorphCostumes recruited an ex-NASA engineer to design a new range of digitally animated costumes as well as recruiting renowned YouTube prankster and recent star of a Toyota ad, Rahat who has 3.5 million subscribers and 400 million views on his YouTube channel to design a range of four prank costumes and an accompanying series of prank videos. Then, to showcase the costumes to the world, they recruited real fans from their Facebook page to star in their launch advertising campaign that shows MorphCostumes infiltrating parties across the planet.

Gregor Lawson, cofounder of Morphsuits, and now Morph Costumes, commented:

“When we launched Morphsuits, we wanted to convince the UK that costumes were awesome all the time and not just for Halloween. Now, we’ve become a nation of fancy dress addicts and to revolutionise fancy dress across the globe, we have launched MorphCostumes to provide our customers with awesome experiences and not simply a fancy dress outfit.”

MorphFUN

The Morphsuit journey has come a long way since the original costumes were created in 2009 when three Scots went to a fancy dress party and marvelled at a mate in a homemade spandex costume owning the party. A few months later, the lifelong friends had designed and manufactured the first ever range of all-in-one spandex costumes, consisting of just six colours, now known around the world as Morphsuits. Even they couldn’t have predicted their success, as costumes evolved from Halloween niche to Friday night and festival mainstay.

The MorphCostumes range of next generation costumes has been expanded by more than 100% and now includes digital costumes designed and engineered by ex-NASA scientist – Mark Rober. The costumes incorporate patented wearable smartphone technology to animate the designs, for example Halloween costumes that display real life beating hearts or open flesh wounds filled with maggots. The range now also includes official Marvel superheroes with virtual superpowers and the world’s first digital Christmas jumpers were also created as part of the MorphCostumes’ pledge to ‘ban boring’.
