Hello,

I am planning to do a Chinese language course and would be glad if
someone could answer some questions or give useful hints. I also hope
this newsgroup is appropriate for my request.

details:
- approx. 4 weeks (maximum 5)
- time: from middle or end September'06
- I am not a university student.
- I did a one year mandarin course at my university, my level is above
beginner level

ideas:
- course in a small group, about 20h/week
- Beijing is preferred over Shanghai
- courses in several knowledge level should be available. In the
beginning there should be a test to determine the right course for me

questions:
- Should I book a language school beforehand? Via Internet?
- Does anybody have experiences or recommendations about specific schools?
- Would it also be possible to join a course at a chinese university?
- Is it possible to just fly there and look for a school then? Does that
take long?

I am grateful for all kind of hints.
