Lady Elliot and Heron Island, plus the ones I don't know. Most larger
islands are the continental types.

Green Island is off Cairns and very popular with tourists.

Yes, wonderful and rather upmarket. I liked Lady Elliot better. They had
anything but luxury, and the guests were considered as personal friends
after a day or two. Hope it still is this way.

Thanks all for the replies. I took a look at the web sites for Heron
and Green. They look great. I visited LEI in 1999 and loved it and so
would like a similar experience. Both Heron and Green look like similar
places to LEI though the accomodations on Heron are of a different
order! Still it looks very interesting and nice. Thanks again.
