Lady Elliot and Heron Island, plus the ones I don't know. Most larger islands are the continental types. Check here: http://www.ladyelliotisland.com.au http://www.heronisland.com Anonymous 09-06-2006, 05:30 AM Heron is absolutely wonderful! It is worth the cost. Thanks Green Island is off Cairns and very popular with tourists. http://www.greenislandresort.com.au/Default.aspx?tabid=48 Turan Fettahoglu 09-06-2006, 10:41 AM > Heron is absolutely wonderful! Yes, wonderful and rather upmarket. I liked Lady Elliot better. They had anything but luxury, and the guests were considered as personal friends after a day or two. Hope it still is this way. Thanks Thanks all for the replies. I took a look at the web sites for Heron and Green. They look great. I visited LEI in 1999 and loved it and so would like a similar experience. Both Heron and Green look like similar places to LEI though the accomodations on Heron are of a different order! Still it looks very interesting and nice. Thanks again. |
