Telecompartnership 07-03-2008, 04:51 PM Hi everyone,
As an international student, I have tried many international calling cards. But finally, I found the best one and I wanted to share with you.
Their rates and connection quality are very very good. If you are planning to buy an international calling card or still looking for the best international calling card, you have to check their website:
Hope it's helpful...
Best wishes
Mandarin 07-03-2008, 05:36 PM It seems the Pingo is more expensive than the following one, isn't it?
www.999talk.net
Telecompartnership 07-03-2008, 08:15 PM Yes, you are right; the other card seems like cheaper than Pingo. But in their website, I could not find many information about fees like initial fees, maintenance fees, service fees, hidden fees or taxes.
"Fees such as taxes, pay phone charges and the rate per minute can be found on almost every calling card. However, initial fees, maintenance fees and service fees are a sneaky tactic companies employ to display lower rates per minute.
- Initial fees are billed once, on the first use of the card. They can range anywhere up to a dollar or more.
- Maintenance fees and service fees are additional made-up fees as a way of providing a lower poster rate per minute. Maintenance fees are generally charged on a schedule, of once a week, twice a month, or monthly.
- Service fees are usually calculated as as a percentage of the cost of the total phone call. Similar to how taxes are calculated."
On the other hand, Pingo has no additional fees - just a 98 cents USD per month account maintenance fee and they declare that in their website (http://www.pingo.com/en/whypingo.do)
As a result, probably, Pingo is cheaper than the other. Also, even if they have same price, you still have to give a chance to Pingo because (in fact, I have not used the other card, I do not want to say any wrong thing but) Pingo's connection quality is really good and it has very useful features.
By the way, thank you very much for your answer:) Hope to talk again...
Best wishes
Mandarin 10-03-2008, 10:41 AM U r wrong. When you select a destination to check, it will show you charges. You did not see their website at all :)
Also, in the FAQ section, there are details about the use.
Telecompartnership 14-03-2008, 02:16 AM www.pingo.com
Telecompartnership 14-03-2008, 02:16 AM Dear Mandarin,
Maybe, we are looking different countries. I think if we choose a specific country -for example Saudi Arabia-, it could be easier. Also, I think you have missed an important point: Currency!
While Pingo is giving its rates as USD, the other card is giving as British Pound and, as you know, 1 pound is 2.0296 USD.
Also, i am sorry; details about the use in the FAQ section, can not explain their rates clearly.
By the way, thank you very much for your answer:) Hope to talk again...
Best wishes
