What's your problem? Have you never been to stay at a friend's house? Or
don't you have any?

When last did The Blairs have some one over to stay, Christmas no they
are with friends, for the Summer Hols no they are with that well know
Italian or Harry Webb!
Tell me if he had never become PM would he have had so many "free"
holidays, if thats what they were. Remind me when was the last time
Tony had some one over for holidays?

I've no idea when they last had people to stay in London or at
Chequers...but you can bet they have had.
Why is their personal life a concern of yours? Why shouldn't they have a
holiday, compliments of friends? I'm just not sure what point you're
making, apart from joining the let's-hate-Blair bandwagon.

"Mr Blair was also facing claims of a conflict of interest because Mr
Gibb has been lobbying the Government to change its policy towards pop
musicians."

I didn't ask for a guess based on nothing, I asked to be reminded
"when was the last time Blair had friends over to stay on holiday?
Chequers does not count, we pay!

It gets better. Would Blair have so many friends if he were the local
dustbin man? I ask you if he had no power would the rich be interested
in him?
Are we living in the Banana Republic of Britain?

So because you're the PM, you're not allowed to stay with friends, right?

On that basis, certain occupations would not be permitted any friends at
all - tax inspectors for one!
Ian
(who has a friend who is a tax inspector - and I've stayed at his house)

In Britain there's the Class structure, so no, not a lot of cross class
contact. Elsewhere in the world... it really does get better (-:

He's not staying with friends - according to the PM's office he's
paying for it - when did you last pay to stay with friends?
According to Mrs BeeGee, they're not.
So is the PM office a liar, or are the BeeGees?
Jim.

The "Holiday" seems to have been about as successful as a "New York Mining
Disaster". But why let it bother you - It's only "Words"
