To make cheap calls even to overseas numbers ideally you will be making calls from a BT landline. National rate 0870, 0871 & 0844 numbers (from 3.95p/min on weekdays) Click here for a full list (pdf) of BT charges. Important if using your mobile.
If you are dialing from a non-BT landline, including mobiles then please check the price of calling 0844, 0870, etc numbers as call costs may vary. We have listed the mobile phone operators customer support numbers below.

MOBILE SHORTCUTS
Tired of typing access number, then destination number? The answer is to save (in your phonebook) access number + pause + destination number. See below how to:
1. Enter the access number.
2. Enter a pause. (This depends on the brand of your mobile)
For Nokia phones a 'p' should appear after * has been pressed 3 times.
For Siemens or Panasonic phones a '+' should appear after 0 has been pressed and held.
For Motorola, Ericsson or Sony phones a 'p' after * has been pressed and held.
3. Enter your international destination number including the 00 and press save.
4. Then in future all you have to do is select the entry in your phonebook and press send.
The small print
Please note for destinations that offer you an access number beginning something different to 0870 or 0844, will usually mean that there is a different rate. This is displayed when you choose your destination country from the drop down list on the left below the advert above (note: this may not be visible for non-mainstream browsers)
All calls are billed at your telecom providers relevant 0870, 0871, 0844 and various 0905 call rates. To find out the cost of calling from a service provider other than BT, contact your service provider directly; remember your service provider may have a minimum call or connection charge for all calls. Calling subject to availability. Calls are charged from the time of connection to the Just-dial service- remember to hang-up if the phone is engaged. If calling from a mobile phone remember to only press the call or send button after dialing the access number but not again after dialing the destination number.
