Default Re: Is this plan for West Coast trip doable?

Some comments, your sightseeing in LA will be rushed if you leave a half
a day, don't forget to add time for traffic.
I found when I left LA area, there wasn't much until Santa Barbara, even
then it was expensive there.
There are some nice campsites around Big Sur area, I wished I'd spent
more time there.
One of my favs was pismo beach and I cancelled going to SF to stay there
longer. I made it to San Jose, so I could see silicon valley and turned
back.

Good luck and enjoy your trip.

I suppose it's doable, but you'll be spending an awful lot of time just
driving.

I think you'd have a more enjoyable trip if you cut out one of those
destinations. Personally I'd recommend skipping L.A. and spending more
time in San Francisco, which is generally considered a much more
interesting town for tourists.
