Which is a day where we remember the people who have died in wars fighting to protect the country and for freedom. Plus also the people who survived. The type of poppy that they are selling at the moment is called a red corn poppy. This type of flower grew abundantly on battlefields hence the connection to rememberence day. Any funds collected for the sale of poppies goes to help former service people, wounded, and their families. Poppies are on sale for ‘Rememberence Day’.
