Festival season is in full swing, but there is still plenty to come! While Glastonbury has been and gone, we still have the likes of Latitude, Bestival, V Festival and Lovebox, to look forward to over the next few months.

But, although you can guarantee the festival itself will be one of the best weekends of the year, if not your life, packing for it isn’t so much fun.

You have probably already started stocking up on beer, but have you thought about what you are going to wear? How do you look trendy and still feel prepared for all types of weather, at the same time? Well, here is some inspiration, which should make packing a little bit easier.

Wellies

If you saw the mud at Glastonbury, you’ll understand why it’s not a great idea to go to a festival without a pair of wellies – you will more than likely spend the whole weekend in them!

It’s a good idea to stick to the classic tall green or black pair – the Iconic British brand Hunter was particularly popular with the celebs at Glastonbury this year. Depending on the location of your festival, you may also want to take a pair of flip flops and/or trainers – but perhaps a pair you don’t mind getting ruined, not your brand new, bright white Nikes!

Accessories

Accessories are an essential part of any festival outfit – backpack, hat, sunglasses, a watch, belt and so on. You may also want to stack up some braided bracelets or woven leather cuffs to complete the festival look. Baseball caps were all over the catwalks this year – these are ideal for festivals, as you can look cool, while keeping the sun out of your eyes and avoiding the dreaded sunburnt scalp!

Trousers / shorts

If you go for trousers, then you want a pair of jeans that are all but destroyed this year – think ripped, patched, bleached. Your shorts on the other hand should be knee-skimming, perhaps with a turn-up!

Tops

It’s a good idea to layer up at a festival because the weather can be unpredictable – one minute you could be sunning yourself and the next running for cover as the heavens open up. So, first you need some t-shirts!

Take a look at the Holiday Essentials section on Clues Fashion, where you can find a selection of t-shirts with on-trend paradise tropical print sleeves. The next layer should be a lightweight cotton sweatshirt; perfect to throw on over your t-shirt as the sun sets and the evening becomes cooler. This could be printed, block-coloured, or with a band or brand graphic.

Jackets

Guys, you will be pleased to hear that anoraks are back this year! These are ideal for festivals because they are lightweight, but will protect you from the elements should you be unlucky enough to get caught in a shower. The most popular style this year is actually see-through, which means that carefully planned out festival outfit can still be seen without getting wet. But, you may also want to go for patterns or bold, block colours!

Don these outfit ideas at this year’s festivals and rock the night away while looking great at all times.
